Now, if you said that it reminded you of a much more conservative introduction to Need for Speed Underground then you would be correct.
I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make here. Maybe something about how the design of the Civic is still stuck around 2003? Or maybe something about the demographic Honda thinks buys their cars? Your guess is as good as mine.

I think they know exactly what their target demographic is. Thing is, I know the plural of anecdote isn't data but I see tons of 8th gen Civic Sis and very few of the newer 9th generation ones. And I'm in what's probably the ricer capital of the US.

NFSU was the first NFS I played, and it was also the first game I ever played on my first console (PS2) so there is some nostalgia in there as well.
I did play the original hot pursuit on PC, and I didn't like it that much
same with NFSU2

That makes sense then. I loved the police in NFSHP2, and was stoked for NFSU, but the lack of cops bored me despite the open world
